who we are

For more than 49 years, the Bandon Playhouse has provided the best in community theater. From classic musicals and dramas to premiering works by new playwrights, the Playhouse provides a rich foundation for theater arts in Bandon. We are all volunteers, proudly keeping theater alive in our corner of the southern Oregon Coast!

our beginnings

Where   we   are   TODAY
Our first production was "The Golden Age of Comedy" in 1976.  Back then, our shows were staged in the school auditorium. In 2000, the Sprague Theater was built, providing a professional theatrical venue to the community.
The Playhouse continues to stand strong as we face new challenges and explore new possibilities. As entertainment tastes change, we honor classic theater while embracing new stage technologies and voices.  Join us in keeping theater arts alive on the Oregon Coast!

education AND COMMUNITY
The Bandon Playhouse strives to bring thoughtful entertainment that is meaningful to our Bandon community. We also provide theater arts education in acting, directing, stage management, and more. As theater arts become a thing of the past in most schools, we are trying to fill that void so that local, live theater can continue to thrive. Class information can be found on our News page.
